Dr. Hernandez grew up in Dallas, TX where he attended UT Dallas and obtained a B.S. in Neuroscience. Prior to enrolling in medical school, he assisted in clinical research at The Center for Brain Health and danced with various modern and ballet companies in the DFW area. He received his medical degree from UTMB in Galveston, TX and completed his pediatric residency at UT in Austin, TX and OHSU in Portland, OR.
He joined Evergreen Pediatric Clinic in 2020 to practice general pediatrics. He is proficient in Spanish and has a special interest in minority health. In his free time, he enjoys live music, dancing, and quality time with friends and family. He also enjoys exploring the PNW with his rambunctious husky, Deckard.
Dr. Hernandez strongly recommends fully vaccinating kids against preventable diseases on the schedule approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
