Whitney attended college at Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA and medical school at the University of Washington. She completed her pediatric residency at Seattle Children’s Hospital. After residency, she practiced general pediatrics in Eugene, OR, working both in the clinic and the hospital.
Whitney joined Evergreen Pediatric Clinic in 2018. In addition to general pediatrics, her clinical interests include foster care and adoption, children with complex and chronic medical conditions, and newborn care. In her free time she enjoys hiking with her husband, running, and baking.
Dr. Benz strongly recommends fully vaccinating kids against preventable diseases on the schedule approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
